A CoG Timeline depicts history and member contributions

After months of hard work, a member of Covenant of the Goddess (CoG) has finished a timeline depicting its history and members who have contributed to the organization and Wiccan and Witchcraft communities.

The timeline was compiled and designed by Andrea Joy Kendall, and member of CoG. With assistance from contributors Anne Agard, Angie Buchanan, Jo Carson, Andras Corban-Arthen, PhyllisCurott,Am ber K, Anna Korn, Rowan Fairgrove, Donald Frew, J. Hildebrand, M. Macha NightMare, and Starhawk, a history of the organization is reflected in this 2-part (two links) infographic. This timeline includes events of interest to anyone that wants to understand what the Covenant of the Goddess (CoG) and it’s members do.

Part One of the timeline reflect the earliest days of some of our members such as Doreen Valiente, Alison Harlow, Aidan Kelly, Diana Paxson and M. Macha Nightmare and many others. The timeline also recognizes many of the people and organizations that paved the way.

Over the years, the Craft Community has evolved and with it so has CoG. Part Two begins in the 1990s with some of the early days of members and CoG Local Councils in action. Members of CoG have diverse interests and some include social justice and environmental advocacy.

The Covenant has also had a long history with the Parliament of World Religions. In 1993 CoG participated in the Centennial of the Parliament of the World’s Religions in Chicago, IL. This was CoG’s coming out on the international interfaith platform.
